Opinion on card please

Not sure if I want to submit this or sell it raw. Does it get an OC or pass as centered?

From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

I say sub it, I grade it at a 6-6.5

  • The centering looks borderline. It's a nice looking card, looks like a 7, but possibly 8 or 8(oc). Tough call.

I've had cards with that type of centering or more off-center that didn't get an O/C qualifier. Looks like a nice looking card to me. Definitely would grade it if it was mine if I could package it with other stuff and get a good rate. I see a blister to the right of his head and can't tell if there is some slight snow or if that's dust on the scanner or something else. They might play a small role in the grade. Corners look great for a 46 year old card.

I measure L/R 64/36 near the top and 58/42 near the bottom.

  • Does anyone know if grades of 1964 are impacted due to the scratch off on back?

I have a small stack of 64 Topps, so I asked that same question to a dealer a few years ago. He said if the scratch off stuff has just worn off over time, it wouldn't affect the grade. But if actually scratched off, it obviously could cause damage to the back of the card.

Nice NM card, I'd have it graded.

I thought the same thing. Right edges look suspect.
Regarding the OC or not, its close but I do feel that it would get an OC.
