Shipping to Japan Worth the Trouble?

I posted a card with a pretty fat BIN and I included a best offer just to see if people would be interested. I recieved an email from a person who would like to purchase it but wants to know shipping to Japan. If it is through paypal I am safe but what should I charge for shipping? Opinions?

It is a $120 BIN so I don't know if I need express but who knows. Would this be the best option?

You will need tracking info to win a dispute if something goes wrong image
  • Papa is right on... it's the only way to cover you if the buyer attempts to open a dispute. I think Priority International is the only way you can track something.

I would do the sale if the buyer is willing to pay the shipping cost - just be up front and tell them how much it will be.

Thanks everyone for your help I just emailed the buyer and told him it'll be 28.95. He probably won't buy it now lol but I have a $110 offer that I might take.

In general, overseas buyers tend to be very forgiving on high shipping costs. They are familiar with the issues we face with Paypal and understand why it's expensive. This is particularly true of buyers in Japan where everything is hella expensive image

I've shipped tons of packages to Japan and never had an issue without using EMI. However, in this case, with somebody I didn't know, I would definitely use EMI.
