Very happy with the grades I got. Was not expecting as many 10's. I am pretty excited about the Tiger Woods Sport Royalty, the Pujols mini-no number, and the Ozzie Smith Dufex. I paid 5 bucks for that black border, no number-mini Pujols at my local card shop!

    Thanks everyone! I guess I know how to pick out 10's. I can't offer pre-grade services, it already costs enough just to get them graded. Well worth it, though. Thanks to PSA for another great job!

    The only problem with 2009 PSA 10s is they really don't sell for much more than raw ones. It's great if they're for your PC, but it's hard to make money from them. Nice job on the '93s though!

    Nice job on that Dufex! My 9 looked like a 10 so I cracked it for a resub... found a minor flaw once it was out of the case so it's just back to a 9.

    Most of those items are for my collection. I really needed that 1993 Edmonds rookie because now I have the #1 set and will get the award this year. Some of the items will go up for sale.

    Also, the Dufex was kind of iffy on the 10 because i bought it raw on ebay from a guy and the scan looked like the card wasn't in that great of shape. once i got it, i knew it would be an easy 9.

    I still don't have one. I passed up a raw one for around $450... I think that one is now that 10 that's for sale.

    jeesh, them things go for a ton of money. can you find a box of select certified on eBay? maybe open that up and try to get lucky. i just bought a 1993 Finest Refractor Ozzie Smith PSA 10 and that thing cost a fortune.

    Buck 10's - love it. I know nothing about modern - are these big hits at all?

    I don't do too much modern. I only sent in for my collection. I like collecting Pujols inserts and some of the other stuff is going to be sold.

    Wow, now I'm really depressed. I subbed over 60 1969 thru 1978 OPC hockey cards. Results were horrible.

    9 1969 OPC cards that I cracked out of PSA 8 holders came back as 7's.
    1 1969 OPC card I cracked out of a PSA 6 came back as an 8.5.

    A bunch of perfect, I mean perfect, 1978 cards came back as 7's.

    A 1973 OPC Bobby Orr (cracked out of a PSA 8 slab) came back as a 7. I was expecting an 8.5. All I can assume is that the Orr was penalized for having the print mark that every single light backed Orr seems to have. This card is a 9 in every other aspect. Corners are perfect and centering is better than average for this card.

    I've subbed hundreds of cards and have an idea what they look for and know I'll be wrong on some. But I was wrong on probably 50% of my sub. I know no damage was caused when I cracked the cards out of the slabs either. I've actually usually receive better grades than I expect and am right on about 85%. I don;t seem to have missed any hidden defects since most of the surprises were 7's. If I missed something Iwould expect a 6 or 5 or worse.

    I assumed this was PSA's way of getting some resub $$$, but I see a lot of good grades coming back. Someone was having a bad day at PSA.

    Seriously unimpressed and unhappy.

    The Pujols is not a mini-blue.

    I always scan over my cards several times. I pull them straight from the pack and treat them like a new born child. Then I examine them very carefully in the light and make sure they are 10 worthy before sending them in. This time i had 47 out of 57 that received a PSA 10. I am pretty happy with those results.

    I can also see how you say someone could have been having a bad day at PSA but I'm not sure how they work over there. The graders give their opinion and sometimes you may feel like you get the wrong grade. i have had that happen a couple times.
