I finally broke down and joined VCP this morning.

Been resisting for so long. After this purchase last night for essentially $50 more than they have been going for the past year, I figured I needed it. Still like the card. PSA 7.5?

Edit - Okay, now I'm loving VCP. Found the exact card sold for $80 more than I paid in 2008.image

I had a subscription for quite a while, but suspended it a few weeks ago. I'll pick it back up in Feb. when I get in the mood to buy some more expensive stuff, right now I'm buying mostly raw stuff for a few sets.

It really can save a lot of time, plus you can track your collection.

VCP provides a great service. It helps you to do research on a card's history and allows you to make a very reasonable offer. Wish they offered a 3-5 day subscription. This would be very helpful for the week of the National or other big shows.

That's a great idea. I imagine if you brought it up to Bobby he would consider it. I like the idea as well.

They do have the 24-hour access for $3.99, but I guess you would have to just buy it each day if you wanted it for 3 to 5 days.

Wow, that live listings thing is pretty cool... I've never really checked this site out before. Diggin' it so far.
  • I've now purchased 4 - 1 day passes in the past month.

I thought they had 2 monthly options, one for $17.99 and one for $12.99? Either way it is not a bad price. The only real complaint that I have is how long it takes to load. I tried to get pricing on 25 cards and it took a looong time.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Have you used the site in a while? It's a lot... *lot* better than it was say 6 months ago.

    EDIT: speed wise that is.

I subscribed to VCP for a while and really enjoyed it. I think it's a great service. Whenever I start buying (or selling) I will re-subscribe.

I love the service. I have had no problem with the speed for many months. I highly recommend it.

I've had the service for about 1.5 years and think its great. It does load a little slow sometimes. It would be nice if the I received notifications faster when cards in my wantlist show up in Ebay. It seems to take several hours.

While it's not perfect, it's the best alternative out there for vintage card historical data IMHO. If you are heavy into buying and/or selling, it's an extremely valuable tool to have at your disposal and will pay for itself many times over.

  • I didn't think it was necessary until I checked it out three hours ago. I joined for one year myself. I think it's an awesome site. I add my 54 topps hockey set. It was cool because I got to see the dates of when I picked cards up. I recommend it!
