this isn't a card but I picked it up back in the 80's from Renata Galasso....used to be a big company back in the 80's.

Ahh Renata Galasso the store front was in Brooklyn I think (I was there once)

It was the size of a postage stamp. She sold tons of cards from the late 60's up well into the 80's

that is when I lost track of them. They brought many folks into the hobby.

I like the '67 and '66 Topps regular issue Mays cards the best. '69 is close, but since it's the same pose as '66, so it loses (tough beans '69).

I think the Mays poster signed was a freebie one year when you bought the sets from Renata...if I remember correctly if you bought one of each set (oh the days of only three card companies) you got the poster for free.....wish I still had the magazines....will have to look.

If you look through most of Willie's cards throughout his career, you'll notice he looks
pissed off on a lot of them!

I feel that his '53 Topps is his best card -- a classic card, bordering on a work of art.

The Perez-Steele Greatest Moments Willie Mays is pretty cool, too.

'66 is my favorite (look at his hands...like Marvin Miller wrote in his book, he could choke a fire hose) and the '67 and '57 are both mega cool, too.

No one has mentioned the '62, which is a wonderful card. Like Aaron, Clemente and Banks, the man just looked right in a uniform on a sunny day.

That's what I was gonna say! Although I may be partial to the '62Ts since that was the first year I bought packs...

Here's my favorite card with Mays on it that isn't an actual Mays card. If you look closely that's actually Mays sliding not Hammerin' Hank.
