Still waiting on a 70 card order that was logged in on 12/1. Just don't see how some order are done in a week and some take 1 -2 months???

I just can't for the life of me figure out their system for getting cards graded and sent out. I have like 50 more cards I want to send in but if they take two months to grade the cards then it's not worth it. This market changes so quickly as to what cards sell for because of a player's performance or the pop report changing. A card that you sent in that could have been a 1 or 2 pop could be 4-5 after waiting two months thus costing you money when you go to sell it.

Joe actually gave me a legit reason why it wasn't 1st in 1st out but I forgot what the reason was.

BTW, I have one from December too but it was logged 12/31/09

I have a December Special one that was shipped on 12/31, and logged on 1/7. Even though it's WAY too early to worry about, I still check the status about once per hour. I have a problem...

You're lucky. My 12/31 shipment was logged in on 1/13. I had three submissions logged in on 12/7. One popped in a week, but I'm still waiting on the other two.

I'm waiting on a 60 card submission that was logged in on the 15th of December....I've found that if I've sent in a whole bunch of the same types of cards, e.g. all 1987, 88 or 89 fleer basketball that the cards seem to get graded quicker. The submission I'm waiting on has some 61 fleer baseball, finest baseball, non sport and other types of cards. I don't know if they have particular folks who grade different types of cards but it seems whenever I have mixed things up it always takes longer. al.

HOW in the world did you receive your cards in only three days?? It typically takes 10 to 12 calender days for mine to arrive after the "shipped" date! Do you use a FedEx account? If that's the case, it's time for me to get one...

I've also heard that sometimes a card can come back with a particular grade, but when someone resubmits that card it comes back with another grade. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Or provide examples of situations where this has happened?

I live about 35 miles north of PSA- orders typically get from them to me the next day or 2 days max. My mailman decided to have a Newman holiday yesterday, so they got here today.
I never, ever, ever use FedEx for anything valuable. It's the most unreliable service available, and the insurance means nothing. If it's valuable the safest, most reliable method of delivery is USPS registered.

I have heard many people whine about turnaround times. I have never-never- heard of someone deciding not to renew their membership because their cards took too long to grade.

For instance, ask yourself this: Is this the last submission you'll ever make to PSA? My guess is it isn't.

had my last special of the year turned around in a couple weeks, still got a few "bits and pieces" orders there which i'm certain will take a bit longer......overall, i gotta say i'm pretty impressed with the way PSA has been handling the flow of cards this past year.....some orders, it seems like they're back overnight and others make a day of driving on the 405 seem pleasurable.....honestly, i don't know why i fit and fret about the wait times, as the postman does eventually show up and then i'm left to wonder exactly where i'm going to store more heavy plastic.....membership renewed, let's find some cards.

Sent in an order at end of Dec. to make deadline for special. I usually purchase already graded cards but now and then have a sub. Recently purchased raw cards at Vets show in Columbus. My feeling with 1960 Topps BB is if only one is an 8 I will be happy. I thought they were all almost an 8. Harshman was the best but not quite centered nicely although I have several straight 8s centered about the same. Came back 8OC. Lopez also came back 8OC. Did not see that coming. Purchased 82 Topps set almost 20 years ago, sent in Ripken expecting a 7 but hey it is a collectable card and in a PSA holder. Came back 9. 53 Sam Jones I sent in some years back, came back altered. Sent in again with note asking to be holdered Authentic if it met their requirements. I sent it in still in their holder saying it was altered. Came back graded. At special pricing I was going to pay $10 per card so I sent in many low grade 52s which brought price down to $5 per card. Certainly not a sub a Dealer would send in for profit but I am a Collector and this is a hobby.

BTW my membership expired today. I knew it ended in January. I should remember this day because 42 years ago today I married my "Trophy Wife." Hey PSA, your check is in the mail.

I agree 100%. I've had to wait on some submissions and some got turned around very quickly. The ones that get turned around quickly are usually those of the same time frame. If you mix it up, you will probably wait longer.

My Dec Special was received 12/18....still waiting. Yes, it is mixed with some 1930's cards all the way through the 2000's. This thread is depressing me. I check about 15 times a day. I even check it on the weekends at least once, even thought I know they don't work on the weekends. I agree though, it should be first in, first out.

The only times I worry about my order is up until they are logged in and after they have been sent.

If it's a 45 day sub then you're at approximately 31 days as of today (01/18/2010). Remember: the December order runs into two holidays that fall on business days (Th. Dec. 24th, Fr. Dec 25th, Th. Dec. 31st, and Fr. Jan. 1st)

Your sub could go into Feb and be within the 45 day period.
