Hi guys,

I just found this out from a buddy of mine who has used for a while. It is called Big Crumbs and pays you cash back on your ebay purchases. I have been getting anywhere from 2% to 5% on my purchases. It also works with the Bing cashback program so you can really get some pretty significant savings on your card purchases. The link is below. Let me know if you have any questions.

How can you use Big Crumbs and Bing at the same time when you have to go to Ebay from one of the websites' links? You can't go from both. Can you? To me it seems like 1 or the other.

Here is how I have been doing it to get both Bing and Big Crumbs savings. Find a card that you want in ebay by going straight to ebay. Save it to your watched list. Now go to Bing and log in using one of their keywords to take you back to ebay, when you get there the Microsoft Cashback appears. Now go to Big Crumbs and click on the begin shopping with ebay. When you get back to ebay via Big Crumbs the Microsoft cashback will still be there. Buy the card and you get both Bing and Big Crumbs savings.

I've been using both for a while now too. Since you're only getting a small percentage of the seller's FEES, the total haul from Big Crumbs isn't huge, but it adds up if you do a lot of buying.

I've been doing the same with eBates - flat 2% off of the item's price in the form of a rebate.

Here is how I have made out with Big Crumbs on my first few purchases...the percent is pretty decent. Very close to 4% off on average. Add this to Bing and Ebay bucks and your talking some good money.

I've been using Mr. Rebates and get 3% back from the purchase price, max - $30.

Is one (Mr. Rebates vs. Big Crumbs vs. eBates) better than the other?

I'm just looking to get an opinion, please hold the spam.

I've only ever use Big Crumbs, but I imagine they're all pretty competitive.

Littletweed...before I signed up for one I checked out Mr Rebates but didnt like the $30 max and the 3% was lower than Big Crumbs. I also checked out ebates but again the percent cash back was lower than Big Crumbs...that is why I went with them. If you saw my earlier post I have gotten close to 4% average on my first few transactions with some over 5%.

Bigcrumbs sets a cookie in your browser, so it can track when you buy something on ebay. I don't know if or when it expires, so I try to visit the site every week or so. You can create a 'quick crumb' bookmark to refresh your cookie whenever you need.

Bing also sets a cookie, but it lasts for just an hour. But it is possible to use both.

Crumbs just gets you something like 36% of the final value fee for an item. While FVF seems like it's huge when you're selling, it's not that much when you are buying, unless you're buying expensive stuff. But it does add up, and you get paid on the 15th of the month 2 months after the end of the current month (e.g. January purchases will pay out March 15).

There's another site that gives you something like 2% rebate on ebay buys, but I can't remember what it is.

Big crumbs is a good site, the savings are small but they had up. Also works on over 300 online stores.

Anybody know what combination of rebate and sniping programs can be used together?
I have read before that this is possible by first going to the rebate site and making an initial bid on the item , and then placing the snipe.

not sure about the other rebate sites but with big crumbs it says you have to place your 'winning bid' going thru big crumbs. but I have found that not to be true. sometimes I'll place a small bid thru big crumbs and then get the winning bid thru a snipe service. I've always gotten the big crumbs rebate even it was not the 'winning bid' I placed thru big crumbs.

That is really good info. I just have not even been using my snipe program because I thought it wouldnt work. I am going to try small bids through Big Crumbs and then set the snipes and see what happens...that would be really nice if this works.

Just snipe is who I use and is probably one of the more popular ones. $5 per month for unlimited snipes. if you search old threads for snipe services you can see what other ones are out there.

UPDATE...I have been testing with my snipe program and it works. I use gavelsnipe.com and just put in an initial bid through ebay and then put in a snipe bid and have gotten cash back from Big Crumbs on all of them.

For those of you who have tried this how are your savings working?
