1st post

I am a new member and I wanted to say hello. I have been reading the posts for a few months and learned alot more about the hobby. (especially on looking out for fakes and scams) (very valuble information) I collect Yankees cards from the 1910's to today. I am currently working on completing every base Topps team set from 1952 to today. I am about 75% there. I also have been collecting every Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio and Mantle card graded PSA. That is going to take a while since I can only buy betwen 1-2 of them a year. I look foreward to chiming in with my views once in a while and hopefully I can help someone not get scammed.

I am a Cardinals team set collector. It is good to see another team set collector. I would guess that your collection will be a little tougher to than mine!

Thanks, My wife would rather me have pictures of dead presidents on pieces of paper instead of cards but what do they know?

I know, I had to be a fan of the one baseball team that is the most expensive to collect but i have to blame my father because he is a Yankee fan and got me into the team and game when I was young.

    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

    Welcome Luke!

That's a super goal with respect to the Yankees - on the superstars in PSA holders - I agree that could be a budget buster - good luck in your goal.

I'm looking forward to some scans.

Welcome. Tell us a little bit about what you have. What years are you still working on? What Mantle's, Gehrig's and Ruth's do you have? What grades do you collect?

My favoriite cards that I currently have for the Yankees are:
1933 Goudey Babe Ruth PSA 2
1933 Goudey Lou gehrig PSA 3
    1934 Lou Gehrig PSA 3
1939 Joe Dimaggio Playbal PSA 4
1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle PSA 3.5
Every other Mantle caqrd in raw grade except 1952 Topps and 1953 Topps and Bowman

To get these cards I save a little each paycheck until I save up a good amount and then shop around on ebay or at shows to add to my collection.
I will add pictures as soon as i figure out how.
