Somewhat OT - eBay Daily Deals

I am sure most of you have seen the eBay daily deals. Some of the items have been pretty good deals and I have purchased a couple. I think if eBay was smart, they would keep this ongoing through the Buy.com sellers. It works great with Bing and with free shipping, meaning shipping is figured in their price, you get the discount on that as well.

  • The daily deals, which were x-mas specials at the time of my posting above, looks like it was a complete success for eBay. I have no eBay inside talk or numbers, but you can click on any of the deals at any time and it will show you how many have sold.

The daily deals now have a link on every page. The daily deals is the buy.com sellers. This appears to work, sales are way over the 2% buy.com usually generates. Mind you, the number of daily deals items is only like 25-30.

eBay marketing and its relationship with buy.com sellers should very much be an interest to us.

    Clear Skies,
    Mark

Good info, though. It's a shame no one noticed it before.
