Guys...I REALLY need some help with my new Scanner got for Christmas!

Hi everyone,
Here is the situation...
Got a new Epson V300 Photo for Christmas since the literature says it will recognize multiple items on the flatbed and scan into indivdual images. I can only get it to recognize one image when placing four cards on the flatbed. I dont want to have to manually crop each image as this was the whole reason for getting this scanner.
Any and all advice would be appreciated as I am going blind reading after two days trying to figure this out...
Thanks Much
Jeff

I would also try cards that are totally different. Like a 71 topps and a 56 topps. Sometimes it seems to help.
I have had this scanner for almost one year and didn't know you could do that! LOL

PS The scanner makes AWESOME scans!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I use the auto crop feature in Photoshop but could never find any option to leave a half inch or so border around each card so all the corners will be visible
Hope that works for yours!
If you can, please post an example of a scanned PSA card. I'm dying to see what it will look like compared to my current scanner.
Also, so you're telling me if I place four cards on the scanner, it will crop each one automatically? That would ROCK, because I'm planning on re-scanning all 400 PSA Ripkens in my collection, and an auto-crop would help a TON.
It is supposed to do what you say when you look at the manual. Problem is it just draws one line around all four cards even when leaving a space between them. I am thinking it might not work as advertised because the PSA slabs are opaque and the scanner doesnt recognize the edges of the cases. I will be really bummed if I cant get this to work.
I remember reading a while back in one of the posts that a "member" had figured out how to do this but cant seem to find it anywhere.

Thanks and good luck. It is a great scanner.

Jeff- run a bit of unsharp mask on that (sharpening) and it will look even better.
Here is a link to a thread about this from last summer

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
NOTE: I also scan with a high-contrast background instead of just using the platen. For example, when I scan light colored cards l always use a black folder as a background. Again, I like to show what the edges really look like instead of having them blend into the background, and not using the platen lid as the background tends to defeat autocrop.

<< <i>Those of you with the Epson v300, do you know if a Windows 7 driver is available? I only see one for Vista. That might be a problem...
Most Vista drivers work in Windows 7.

I DL'd the Vista driver for my current Canon scanner, and it didn't work on my Windows 7. I'll have to see how the v300 works once I get it in the mail next week.
<< <i>I think most of us are talking about using an auto-crop feature for slabbed cards. If scanning a raw card, I would always leave a border around the card to show edge contrast.

Yeah, I started to add an addendum that I could see using autocrop on slabs. Although I still like to use a high-contrast background.
Off about the drivers. 90% of the items I run across don't even rework their drivers for w7.
