Wow, this guy put a lot of effort into this auction

Seriously - it must've taken him all day to list it.

1976 T

At least there's no question about what you're getting.

I've never seen a seller grade all 4 corners individually. Seems like a good guy to buy from.

Many sellers give you very little info or a blanket condition for the whole set and expect to get top dollar.
Looking for Cello packs with Bill Buckner on top

    Gave me a headache.

I thought he was grading a card NM/MNt when in fact it is what Nick said a corner.

    Good for you.

I feel like buying the lot just to reward him for his effort. Great listing!
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
  • He sounds really pasionate about selling and buying. Nice to see these days.
  • Do you think you could win a SNAD claim arguing that bottom right corner was EXMT+ and not NM- as stated???

He takes his description to a whole new level. It's refreshing to see someone selling something that won't surprise you (in a bad way) when you get it.

  • I have to agree with everyone. This guy is going above and beyond to let you know about his cards and I like that. I'll be keeping an eye on his stuff

After looking at the auction listed in this thread, I checked out his stuff and made my own purchase from him. So far he seems like a very cool seller. He left positive feedback and shipped it less than 4 hours after I bought it.

Your feedback could read: NM++NM/MT++++,NM++,NM/MT/MT++++++, Service. NM/MT/EBAYER++

I also applaud his effort, you think he might wear himself out after awhile listing like that.
  • Seems like a very savvy seller. Reminds me of the ebay seller, Aarons, did anyone ever buy from him? He was one of the best raw card sellers on ebay, with stellar 99.9% feedback. Didnt give the corner descriptions, but like this guy, under promising, over delivering.

Looking at his feedback, I didnt know 89 topps box bottoms sold for $5.45!! You can buy the whole box for $10-15.

But seems like a really good seller.

That was actually the item I bought, lol. Most whole boxes I've seen have either surface smudges or creases. This one is perfect, and even cut even and sharp. All four players on it are HOF'ers (including Ripken). I want to make this a TTM multi-sig adventure for my personal collection. image

For all of his effort, he realized only $2,600 for the set.

Makes me wonder if he would've received even a dime less with a half-assed listing of the same item.

Ebay is often a crapshoot. There have been quite a few times when I had to relist an item (due to a NPB), and then the item sells for 50% more (or less) the second time. And, that's with the SAME description. Great descriptions might pay off in the long run, but for one auction, anything can happen.
