I had mine on yesterday, was watching Danicia Patrick turn a few laps at Daytona till rain came, that other chick driver is so much hotter than her, never did catch her name.
Avatar was great. 2 and a half hours is long but if you get a comfy seat you will enjoy every bit of it.

Saw it in 3D opening night. 3 hours of total entertainment for $10. I recommend it and bring the family. With advertising the budget will top $400,000.00. I predict they will recoup $200,000.00 opening weekend. Special effects are fantastic and I won't give away any story line. Go see it and enjoy the experience.

Fandango, just who do you think your talking too? I have no alt on this board whatsoever. As for vintage cards, i collect primarily exhibits, bowman and vintage topps. You sir are the very definition of a troll.
As for the movie it was visually stunning, but poorly written. The 3D was nice, but it didnt really add all that much to the experience.

With the worldwide take, they're already over $230M.
Just got back from a local 3D showing. Before I went, I thought I was going to have to wash the nerd off of me afterwards, but I enjoyed the heck out of it. I didn't mind the movie length, as it was a visual treat throughout.
To keep it sports related, there was some very poor basketball played early in the flick. You'd think 12-foot-tall blue peeps could play a little better, even if the rims were about 20 feet off the ground.

It is funny someone said it was anti capitialist. I have no idea what it is about, but it is ironic that the so called anti capitlists are pushing the toys in McDonald's Happy Meals. Gotta love the hypocrits in Hollywood!!!
i dont see it as anti capitalist as being pro environment. He references "the company" no name is every given. In all the alien films "the company" wanted to harness the creatures at the expense of colonies and crew. Cameron is a smart, inquisitive guy, he spends his money on stuff that interests him.

I can't wait to see Avatar. I've never seen a 3-D movie.
I still have my View-Master from '72 though, ha ha.

Now you can go wash the nerd off of you.
While it was very well-done and entertaining, the "message" was a little over the top for me.
After all, it's capitalism, use of natural resources and technology that make it possible for people to create a $300 million movie.

So did I.
That's why I sat in the back of the theater in the dark, by myself...
