rack packs

Hi guys
I have decided I like rack packs. I might buy some with the stars on top just to keep like that, I think they are pretty neat. maybe football from like 77-86, some of those. Should I be cautious of resealed racks? I'm clueless.

For this reason resealers specifically seek out these older, scarcer racks, open the horizontal seals, remove the high-grade cards and replace them with near mint cards with no submission value, and then "recrimp" the seals. Many times they will add a star on top to increase the rack's value.
It is also common for a counterfeiter to take a rack of minimal value (such as a '77 fb rack) remove the header and all cards and replace them with, for example, 1971 bb cards with a '70 thru '73 generation header card since the headers from those years are all the same. A $75 rack has thus been transformed into an $800 rack!
And lastly when it comes to racks 1974 and older beware of any rack that has two or more stars showing--especially if both stars are on top.

Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed!!
- I would encourage all collectors to post a video of their collection - I have found it to be a very rewarding way to share my sports cards!!
Good luck...Donato

<< <i>You mentioned collecting fb racks 1977 to 1986. Fortunately those years are relatively safe compared to 1974 and older when it comes to resealing and outright counterfeiting. Racks 1974 and older are far scarcer than those 1975 and newer and command much higher prices, especially with stars on top.
