Best way to store slabs economically?

The space they are taking up is starting to become an issue.

I know that they are pretty much air tight and such, and was wondeirng if anyone stores
any in their attic?

Any other original ideas on the cheap?

If you want extra protection for them, put them in cardboard boxes.

I agree. I once bought a bunch of graded card boxes from a place called tcbulk. I haven't checked their site in a while but I know the price was right and the boxes are strong. They store about 75 graded cards if I am remembering correctly.
  • I use a ~$150 metal cabinet from Office Max to hold the mass of them. The Steve Young's are in the Steve Young Shrine as I have been calling a cabinet I have lately and a few sets are elsewhere, but would likely hold all my cards if I wanted it to. (Note; Photo is old and is from when Chuck was here.)

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
  • Here is where I put mine..

    Super Vault

Then it is just like all other cards...

To answer your questions about storing in the attic, I don't think I would do that, too much temp change for my liking... I would be more incline to store in the basement (with humidifier). less change in temp.

I also use the supervault boxes along with my PSA black cardboard boxes. I have my smaller sets in the PSA boxes and use the vaults for my miscellaneous stuff since I don't have any large sets in my collection so far......they work out fine, in fact if you want you can leave the lids off the vaults and double your capacity. al.

Matt (MBMILLER25) sells those Pelican cases for them which fit about 250 or so. The only drawback is that it'll run you $200. However the case offers outstanding protection, and I wouldn't mind so much putting them in the attic.

I'm pretty sure he is down to his last box and won't be making anymore. I saw a thread on the buy.sell, trade forum the other day stating so.

They do look like nice boxes though.
