Why do NFL receivers have trouble acting like normal humans? While I feel sorry for Chris Henry's family, does this really shock anyone? You can't go around acting like an idiot all the time and expect this stuff not to happen.

Whenever a celebrity dies, ebay gets blasted with new listings of items related to that person.

Unless the seller is a moron. Listing his 2007 Bowman card for $100 to capitalize on Henry's demise.

    CHRIS HENRY RIP DIED TODAY

    Wrong Chris Henry.

I gave my respects to Steve McNair--- i'm passing on Chris Henry. Hopefully his fiancee won't be charged with vehicular manslaughter after hearing he was trying to bust out the back window of the truck. My respects will go to his family though, for their loss and to the Bengals team.

My son told me that Chris Henry was Pacman's roommate in college. That's a lot of crazy under one roof. Maybe Pacman will get the message.

She is a menace and belongs in prison.

In NC - and many other states - failure to stop and render aid constitutes negligence
as a matter of law, in the absence of a legally sufficient excuse or justification.

Leaving the scene of an accident is also frowned upon in NC.

The LEOs will likely soon have wits that claim they saw the witch
"swerving the car back and forth."

She knew he was back there AND she was likely TRYING to toss
    him overboard.

He was "banging" on the window to get her to stop. If he had been
tring to bust the window, he could have pretty easily done so.

She was in no danger and she knew it. The cops know it, too.

IF she was "afraid," all she had to do was drive slowly to the cop
station - or the donut shop - and blow the horn.

The murderous war on black athletes being waged by street-rat-crazy
    chicks needs to stop.

Yeeeaaahhh... I'm sure Henry was just an innocent by-stander, just like all the other times he has been arrested. It's sad that he died, but he should not be in these situations. To put all the blame on her is simply ludicrous.
  • Is anyone honestly surprised at the sad end to Henry's life given all that has gone on before this... This story has been written many times before.

That is a good defense in the civil case that his relatives will
bring. It won't fly as well against an ambitious prosecutor, in
    crim court.

A few hours b4 the incident, she was twittering that she
had just bought wedding rings and wedding flowers.

Obviously, something happened SHORTLY after her "announcement."

    There was a mutual disagreement/argument.

She fled the house in the truck and was in NO danger. Would a
reasonable person have been afraid? The prosecutor will say "no."

His dangerous act of jumping in the truck might be death by
misadventure, if it was a stranger's truck OR if the driver did
not know he was onboard. That is not what happened here.

She used the vehicle as a weapon to "defend" against a nonexistent
threat. IF a threat did exist, she had LOTS of remedies SHORT of
driving in a manner that caused him to be dumped out and killed.

I will be shocked, if she is not prosecuted. But, I have been
    shocked before.

Unless you have inside info, I'm not sure how you can get so in depth about the situation. There was a kid I went to high school with that died by falling off the back of a truck that was not going fast at all... it doesn't take much. Like I said, unless you have inside info, you don't know what happened or why.

Very sad .... but maybe she WAS scared to death and her reaction was to get the hell out of Dodge as fast as she could. Generally, women do NOT react the same as men in hostile situations, regardless of the few examples that may be highlighted in the news at times.

Just because Henry was trying to change himself for the better, doesn't mean that he didn't snap or revert back to his previous "thuggish" behavior.

Even when the truth comes out ... it may still NOT be the entire truth.

My prayers are for all involved in this untimely and unnecessary fiasco.

  • I live in the Cincy area and just returned from my daughter's preschool holiday program. They have a silent auction with baskets to bid on for each class.
One basket was sports related and had a autographed Chris Henry Bengal's hat. Several were bidding up the basket hoping to sell the hat on ebay.
One was an eleven year old boy.

Tragic end to a tumultuous life. My thoughts and prayers are with his children.

    Maybe.

She is a world-class jock and soccer player; WPS candidate.

She is experienced at athletic combat, and allegedly at domestic combat.

If she had a cellphone, she could have called 911.

The cops NOW DO have statements that she was swerving the truck.
Maybe the statements are not credible; I dunno.

The cops refuse to say whether she fled the scene. We know they
looked for her and could not immediately find her at the scene.

We know they finally found her at the scene. She had NO MARKS or
scratches on her. We don't know what she told the cops.

We know the cops are under pressure to make an arrest.

    Maybe they will not.

Chris Henry Fiance Loleini Tonga to Face Charges?

With the recent death of Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry, many questions and accusations are beginning to surface blaming his fiancée, Loleini Tonga. Some even say that Tonga, who is believed to be at the wheel of the pickup truck Henry flew out of, might perhaps even face criminal charges within the next few days.

Henry, who was suspended by the Bengals during the 2007 season following his fifth arrest, was believed to have turned over a new leaf. The former third-round draft pick cleaned up his public image a bit, and Cincinnati fans embraced him and cheered for him.

Nevertheless in his private life, things were far from perfect, according to some sources. A close friend of the couple went on to say that Henry’s fiancée, Loleini had a history of domestic violence and a severe drinking problem.

“I knew the next time Chris would get in trouble it would be because of that girl,” this person added. “She drinks all the time, they get into fights, and she has even bragged about getting into disputes with former boyfriends.”

You need to lay off the Nancy Grace show.

Do they have any laws on being an idiot in NC for jumping on the back of a moving vehicle???

I think i'm going to send this story to Darwin Awards and see if it qualifies.

You need to lay off the Nancy Grace show.

Have not seen it in five+ years. Too reactionary and anti-male, for my taste.

Nope. Little kids aren't supposed to be back there, but "adults" do it all the time.

I think i'm going to send this story to Darwin Awards and see if it qualifies.

    It does.

But, we prolly should not sanction homicide in order to validate our theories.

Honestly, if you jump on the back of a moving vehicle, anything that happens after that is the jumpers fault. Stupidity should never be a crime, especially if its the OTHER person's stupidity. Although, millions of dollars were given out because of HOT coffee.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
