Christmas Came Early!

I just got back from the hospital where our new little son joined our family yesterday. We're thrilled to have him in our lives and that he was born healthy and strong.

He's pretty big: 9 lbs/3 oz/21", it looks like he might have gotten my height (6'4"). I'm currently shopping for basketball sneakers. My wife and I are still trying to figure out a name :-). I thought about "7" but decided I don't like Mantle that much and that I've watched way too many Seinfeld reruns.

Really does make card collecting seem so inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. He's the best Christmas gift I could ever hope for. Just thought I would share a pic.

Congratulations! I totally agree in regards to your comment about the grand scheme of things. I still collect since having a daughter but my priority list has certainly changed.

Congratulations, you won't get any gifts better than him! I've already got his first date lined up, my neighbors just had a baby girl 3 days ago, she weighed in at 8lbs/10 oz/22", perfect match!

nothing like em' sir. My little girl is 2 and a half and Santa Claus is bringing her drums and she talks about them day and night.

On a related note, I might be moving out of my house after Christmas due to excessive noise. Congrats!

congrats in deed. if he is really smart he will end up a Packer fan!!! at least that is what I tell all the kids that wear Packer stuff in the Chicago area that I run into.
