Question on Beckett graded '86 fleer basketball...

So I have been burned enough by trying to cross over Topps cards from the 80's from Beckett to PSA as they are many sheet cut out there. I am wondering if beckett graded '86 fleer basketball (specifically Jordan) is a safe bet for a crossover? Not necessarily grade-wise, but rather if beckett is liable to slab cards that PSA wouldn't. Just curious as it seems many beckett 7's and 8's seem to be much stronger looking than the PSA's so looking to buy one and ship it to PSA for crossover.. Any help/insight appreciated.

Actually they aren't really until you hit mint 9's...not from 7-8.5 according to VCP. At 8 and 8.5, PSA actually has a higher average (not by much).

Well, if you're looking for a 7-8 grade sheet cut shouldn't be a problem...

For this set period I'd think it's not a problem the percentage of gems is very low so you should be ok.

One thing I'd advise against is "crossover" not a big fan of the service myself...

In the PSA 8 grade level, you should be alright. I would be hesitant if you were looking for GEM MINT crossovers or even BGS 9 crossovers on Jordan. There are a decent number of trimmed '86 Fleer cards in BGS holders. Granted, they're in all holders, but I'm confident in saying that there are probably more high grade keys in BGS than in PSA or SGC. But to reiterate, you should be pretty safe cracking and crossing commons and minor stars and RC's from BGS 7.5 and BGS 8 to PSA 8 as BGS seems to be a little more stringent on the wear, tilt and centering than PSA at that grade level.
