Group Rip - 1980-81 Topps Basketball box (Box Sold)

If anyone is interested in a group rip, I have an unopened wax box of 1980-81 Topps Basketball.

This box contains 36 unopened wax packs.

Steve Hart from bbcexchange personally inspected this box, and then he shrink wrapped the box and put his sticker on it, so you know that you will be getting some really nice clean stuff.

Price is $30.00 per pack + $5 shipping.

(If you buy 1 pack shipping is $5.00, if you buy all 36 packs, shipping is still only $5.00.

Just let me know how many packs you want.

I just got this box back from Steve a couple of days ago, so there is no way I am going to ask him to re-inspect and re-shrink wrap the box. He has already done enough favors for me. You guys are more then welcome to contact him and ask him about the box. If you guys would like, I can leave the box shrink wrapped, and once the box is sold out, I will ship it out free of charge to somebody that is involved in the rip, and then they can remove the shrink wrap and send everyone there individual packs. Another option is for someone to just buy the box from me for $1080, and then I will ship it out to you free of charge. If it makes you guys feel any better, here is an email that Steve sent me a couple of days ago. It clearly shows why Steve is the classiest and most trusted person in the business, and why I try to send him as much business as possible. Let me make it perfectly clear, I have no interest in competing with Steve, and I encourage everyone to spend as much money as they can at www.bbcexchange.com

So you had a box of 80/81 Topps basketball that you purchased and you sent it to Steve to have him validate that the box and packs were legit (perhaps with the intention of selling). Steve did this either as a favor or in due diligence before purchasing and now you are trying to sell the box at the same price that BBCE does ($1200 - 10% = $1080).

While I have no qualms that the box is legit your reputation makes a group rip unsellable. If I hadn't just purchased an 80/81 box I would have been willing to pay in the ~$875 range for the box. Knowing full well that the exact same box would be sold by BBCE for $1080 but your previous transgressions on this board have to be factored in which in my mind would be -20% or so.

Best of luck with whatever you end up doing.
