Help with what this is...Topps 206 George Mullin

Hi all,

Could someone tell me what this is and what kind of value it might have or where to look.

Thanks Much

Jeff

  • This is an original T206 card that Topps has framed and inserted into the T206 product. Assuming it is a common back it's a $20 card out of the frame. The frame makes it more valuable to those who collect the buyback cards. Maybe $40-50 if you find the right buyer.

    41goudeyguy,

Thanks much for the info. The back says Piedmont on it. Is that one of the common backs??

  • Piedmont is usually a common back depending on the factory. If you have a factory 42 Piedmont then you have something. The cut on the top of the card looks off which may keep it from ever going in a PSA holder. Don't remove it from the frame. Sell it as is.

The cut is a factory diamond cut (2 parallel cuts but not square) common for the era when the sheet slips ever so slightly in process, the vintage corner wear proves it.

It is about $20-$25 raw if back matches front
  • I agree that the cut is factory. I've had PSA reject better cards as "factory miscut".
