wow, cracking that sgc was suicide sending in raw to psa, I would rather get a no it's trimmed here's your SGC 8 back, than here's a kick in the nuts.
  • Why would a person take such a card from the slab in the first place? Once it's out there's no guarantee you'll get such a grade again.

yeah i saw that. that sucks!!!

i wonder why he would have done that, go with the grade you have

No idea. SMR has the value of a PSA 8 at $17,000. Don't really know how acurate that may or may not be.

That was one risky move for the owner that didn't work out too well. Wow

I will lay some serious odds that the new owner will not keep the card in that holder and it will visit PSA, SGC, or BVG many times.

I see batwings (cut angles outwords as it reaches tip) on at least 3 corners. It does look trimmed.

Good grief -- that's my line.
  • I may have to call BS on this one.

No recorded sales of an SGC 88. Tough to believe the guy that submitted it to SGC would get an 88 then crack it and resub to PSA. In other words, if you believe the story, someone purchased this card for a significant amount then cracked and resubbed.
