I think I win the bonehead of the day award

So I win a PSA 9 loius and decide to send back my PSA 7 for a regrade. I'll let the pic speak for itselfimage

I will be calling customer service next week. Will PSA put this card back in the case if I send them the case? Who should I talk to about this?

Please don't laugh when you read this!!image

    I can't help it.

CUI is dangerous. If you were Cracking Under the Influence,
these results are to be expected.

PSA will regrade the card and slab it.

    You guessed it.......

Mental note, don't put the card you want to keep by the card you want to crack out.

No...but hopefully upon the submission it will receive a 9 again...and it only winds up costing ya a grading fee.

Start by sending the scan to Joe and explain that you had a brain fart and cracked the wrong one.

Then, I would send it back to PSA "care of Joe Orlando" so he can personally fix the issue.

It wouldn't hurt to send him a scan of the card slabbed (if you still have it).

That is horrible, I hope it works out for you. Hopefully Joey O will understand..

Not on the same scale as the Ty Cobb SGC 88 to authentic, but I'm sure it hurts. I'm sorry this happened to you. Hopefully, it will reside in a PSA 9 holder again soon.

send the flip with the card, and maybe a letter explaining, I've done it (not accidentally, had a chance to get it auto'd) with a $300 card before, as long as it still looks like a 9 they'll probably do it no prob's, most people that have tried it fraudulently are most likely sending in psa 7 cards with psa 9 flips...

image What may make it difficult to return to a 9 slab is the centering. That scan could do wonders for you.

Give them a link to this thread, it cant hurt.

I once left the post office with a $200 N172 card still in package, put it on my car roof when finding keys, then drove away. Lost the sucker. My bonehead merkle of my nearly 30 years collecting.

    I was pissed for days.
  • Has nothing to do with cards, but when I was younger I would always take a sip from a cup and would then nibble on it about 3-4 times (OCD)

Then one day I was going about the routine and bam! I shattered the glass.

I don't do it anymore, well maybe once here and there, but I learned my lesson.

I guess the moral of my story is it already happened, and now you know not to do it again image

It was actually west coast time so it was 11:45 I was trying to get a submission out by the next day.

I just sent Joe an e-mail regarding my blunder. Luckily the original auction still had the pictures up so I sent those along too. I'll let everyone know what his response is.
