Not that I am a big SHAQ fan, but Shaq has helped out many people/families in need over the years. Seems to be a very generous and caring person. We could use more millionaire athletes doing charitable things like he does.
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Sad story, but a very nice thing for Shaq to do. Thanks for posting it.
  • Shaq is an old school basketball player. He gets it and you never see him in trouble or doing something that looks bad for his family of team. One of the all time greats.
  • As an LSU fan, I must chime in. Shaq does this kind of stuff all the time it just never gets any publicity. He also makes random appearances at LSU sporting events and hangs out with us common folks and doesn't mind people hounding him for autos or pictures. The world, not just sports, needs more sincere and generous human beings like him.
  • That's such a terrible story. It's hard to imagine what some people can do to children. image

Shaq is really great though. Good on him for being as great as he is. image

Am not a fan of Shaq the player but Shaq the man? This is just one of dozens of great stories I've heard about him over the years. He seems to be a geniunely nice, funny, caring and generous guy. The sports world could definitely use more guys like Shaq.

yeah, Shaq is a good guy, Rodman also did the same thing years ago for a gay young man who was beaten to death and dragged behind a vehicle (for being gay).
