No qualifier mentioned anywhere in the ad...

This topic has been hashed over innumerable times, and I will say I'm slightly annoyed when a card that has a qualifier is listed in the title as a nq card. But this guy doesn't list his card as an 8 o/c anywhere in the ad, plus he has his buy-it-now for a price that would exceed a reasonably priced no qualifier card. The seller goes by the name "Honest Paul". Happy Thanksgiving all!

    I checked his completed auctions and he has 112 auctions for cards and out of the 112 completed auctions, he has sold none of them.

    Yea Ive made that mistake ONCE quickly bidding on a card I had been searching for only to check the card out after frothing at the mouth and quickly placing a bid only to get the devestating news that it is "OC" or something like that!


    Its poor bussiness to not list it in the title, however its the buyers responsibility to look at the freaking card before bidding image

    Not sure I understand this, this seller has 2000+ items up right now and the 112 mentioned is also from his store.

    I doubt very much that he listed 112 items and none sold, I could be wrong of course I really did not look that far into his business.

    As for the OC missing from the title and description, could it possibly be an honest mistake?

    Or should we just hang this guy without looking a little further?

    Just trying to be half fair here.


    Maybe he has a 4.9 in item as described because possibly he generally describes his items honestly?


    Just a thought.

    Edited to add: I think what Bunker meant was just for card sales? Not counting his other items?

    Still, I'd prefer to think that he either does not understand the significance of the qualifier or simply omitted it by accident.

    Personally, I feel any idiot who lists a QUALIFIER on ebay and doesn't call it out in the heading is a SCUMBAG. I have seen dozens of '55 Topps All-Americans that are OC's listed that way. Several, including a dealer named KCKards, do that, and they don't even call it out as an OC in the body and description of the listing, let alone the heading. SCUMBAGS!

    You're right, it's an issue that's hardly worth mentioning. When something is so obvious, it poses no threat of duplicity.

    I did say its poor bussiness to NOT list it even if its an honest mistake because of the majority of people it seems do take it as being sneaky, however the seller might not know enough about cards to list it. Im torn because its the buyers responsiblity to KNOW what he is bidding on- as much as it is the Sellers responsibility to know what he is selling I guess.

    Put it this way, say he had a 1956 PSA 7 Mickey Mantle listed for a BIN of say $500 and didnt know better? People would jump all over it and brag about the deal they got!
