Condition-wise, what's the strongest bet? Wax, Rack, Cello, Vending?

I would think it would be racks, but I wanted to ask the pros. image

  • 1. racks
    2. wax
    3. cellos or vending - both are hit or miss . i have seen good and bad with both , almost always corners when bad

I agree ... IN GENERAL, Racks SHOULD deliver the best conditioned cards.

  • I agree as well. (unmolested) racks should yield cards with the sharpest corners. Then wax followed by cellos. Never opened vending so I have no opinion on them.

What's the story with vending boxes? Have people seen good results with those?

  • On occasion you can get lucky and have some good results but most of the time you
will get dinged corners because the cards are not in packs so the protection is not
    there .

Vending can be great if you pull a box from the middle of the case.

When I was building sets back in the day racks gave you generally the nicest printed cards as well as the
nicest condition ones too. They also were better for price. Price per card was lower then wax and cello.

If I recall they had a 3 box case and a 9 box case. (Which was 3 of the 3 box cases)

    Good for you.
