Cook Islands Gold - Can't find info on this anywhere. Legit?

I won this 8 gram gold coin as a door prize a few years ago at the Santa Clara show. I had just put it away, but tonight was trying to find info on the coin, and can't find a thing. Have gone quite a few pages deep on Google, and still nothing. Any thoughts or info on where to turn would be appreciated.

Thanks, Tommy B

  • It's there in Krause (after going through page after page of modern Cook Is $50 coins), 8g, 99.99%Au, mintage est 5000, listed as value of $250 in proof.

    Dang! Nice door prize!

Guess that makes it a "doormouse"?

  • Andrew, thanks for your help. Yeah, I didn't know I had won it. It just showed up at my door a couple of weeks after the show.
