A penny, couple of cheap Trade Dollars, and I think the 1708 Brunswick 4 Mariengroschen. Basically the things I had cheap bids in I won, but the three I had big bids on (double estimate or higher) I lost: 1833 Bavaria Taler, 1788 Fulda 20 Kr., and the 1788 pattern 1/2d.

Same here. I ended up winning a very nice piece in itself with a very clear overdate, yet not my primary target for this auction.

I also came up empty. I had my hopes up for the 1599 Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel Wasptaler and the 1676 Tuscany Piastre but it appears I was underbidder on both.

JCMhouston - that 1788 Fulda 20 Kr piece was amazing. I threw in an early bid but was mercifully left behind early. I thought it would be a good sidekick to a 1788 Fulda taler I have.

Zohar - a few of the austrian talers went a little lower than I would have expected.

True, I noticed. Unfortunately, not the one I was aiming for.

I threw in a mercy bid for the MS-61 NGC 1/4 Taler which is somewhat out of my Taler focus, given the very clear 1740/1 overdate.

Just the 1906 Canada cent for me that I mentioned in the other thread. Editted to add Goldberg's images.

There was a mere one Scottish lot and it held no interests for me.
