Is this SGC flip a concern?

I know it's an old flip, but are their concerns about there grading practices back then? IE higher risk of a trimmed card, etc? Help appreciated...view the auction here

Flip looks OK, but I would ask for a scan that shows the whole slab, without the cropped edges.

Card looks fairly graded, just want to make sure the slab hasn't been tampered with.
  • It could very well just be the scan that is making me see things...but I don't like the 92 grade due to the corners.

I don't know the '86's (and how they are graded) well. Corners look pretty solid to me but I see the tiniest bit of white on the right corners, but they look sharp and square still. Is that something PSA would normally devalue a bit?

I bet it's got a good shot at 8.5 from PSA. Nice card

Right side looks wavy especially where the blue and white meet(could be the scan).

Wavy = trimmed? Is that the idea- the border isn't straight? Anyone know what VCP is on an SGC 92, anyway? I can always look it up when I get home...just curious.

  • Anyone had a SGC flip change color?

Left a SGC slab in the car and the flip is now dark. Kinda looks like what happens to thermal paper and sun. No biggie. Just increasing my post count in hopes to win something.
