  • One of my friends lives in New Jersey outside of Vorhees and used to frequent the Flyer's old training facility. He acquired around 8,000 auto's back in the early 1980's from all of the big guns in all sports just waiting outside hotels and after games from each sport and some shows. Once I saw his collection I just about collapsed.. One of his personal favorite auto's were from Pelle Lindbergh. He has 4 perfectly signed 4/6 photos of him which were the first auto's of him I ever saw. He told me stories about Mantle being drunk in a bar and had no problem signing for him even while being wiped out. He mentioned that the biggest jerks he encountered were Eric Lindros and Willie Mays. Any how I ended up getting 5 Lemieux rookies signed with his early signature 3 Topps and 2 OPC. 4 Maris signed cards including his rookie that graded a Psa 5 also signed Mantles, 1 Clemente, and all of these cards were signed before the forging started. Thanks for the great remarks... Tb

I chased Hockey autos for a few years and the biggest jerks I ever encountered where Tom Barrasso and
you guessed it Mark Messier! By a long shot the biggest jerk that ever laced up the skates. Its not even close.
I got Lindros a few times in person and he always signed without a problem.
