George Mikan 1948 bowman autographed rookie

One went on sale on ebay today and it didn't stay unsold for long. Someone hit the BIN @ $1,850.00

Another fine example of how autographed rookies are heating up, that's pretty good price for a card of that shape.

that is interesting. Mikan signed a ton of stuff before he dies. Never usually see that card signed, but I like the "raise the value" theory. Interesting.

i've seen others do this to raise VCP on rare cards (where there isn't a lot of market movement) to benefit a sale or even trade. last one i saw sold for way less than that and wasn't abused as bad...

I wouldn't be so quick to say that the seller is doing some sort of abuse.

I saw that card went up around 6pm yesterday and then someone hit the BIN at 6:41pm. If they want the publicity, the would at least want it let it run out a bit longer. It seems like quite a hefty ebay fee to do a promo for 41 minutes. Just my 2 cents.
