1992 Pro Line Rip Berle auto

I bought a box of 1992 Pro Line on ebay and my auto for the box was a Milton Berle auto.

1992 Pro Line IMO is one of the most underappreciated unopened boxes out there - at least 1 auto per box, with lots of HOFers.

I bought 3 boxes of 1991 Pro Line Portraits on ebay last year and did not get one auto. They should have contained one auto per box as well. The boxes came from different sellers and all still had the factory shrink wrap on them.

I was pretty upset to say the least.

I think a lot of the love for these autographs went away when they started faking the sigs in singapore and selling them on ebay. Also some of the autos are autopen or were signed by others.

Edited to add - nice card of a well loved person. If it's not for you it should have buyers on ebay. Lots better than some packers lineman who only played 2 years.

I bought two boxes of the 1991's and received no autographs either. They were not 1 per box in 1991. I think that started in 1992. The 1991 product is pretty cool though. The Gale Sayers is a great looking card and for the Patriot fans is the Bill Bellichek rookie card.

1991 was 1 auto per 10 boxes. 1992 had 1 auto per box (and sometimes 2).

Anyone know why so many of these were signed on the back? So many are that way that I'm thinking that's what Pro Line instructed people to do. Pretty silly since the card fronts are perfect for autos.

Yeah but some are pretty dark so the autographs wouldn't show up well. Still, I don't get the autos on back thing. Kind of like the little autograph box on the back of Action Packed cards.

Kid: Would you sign my card?
NFL player: Sure kid
Kid: Thanks. No sir, not on the front. In the little box on the back, please.
