On October 19, 2006, Ripken in the Minors officially went live. I built the site after being told I had been ripped off on a counterfeit 1980 WBTV Charlotte O's Ripken. Knowing what to look for I saw counterfeit after counterfeit being sold on a monthly basis for anywhere up to $1,000. I felt that having the knowledge to help others and not making it available would only add to the problem. I never imagined the site would grow to what it has become, especially with the help and contributions of so many others. The greatest satisfaction comes in knowing I saved others the heartache that comes with getting ripped off. However, the fact that the site gained enough credibility to correspond with Cal Ripken, Jr., was a great thrill.

With all of that said, thank you. This forum was willing to listen to me even before the site went live. You have also been willing to share my joy in the interviews, 1982 Topps triple autograph project and so much more. This is a good forum with good people. A very special thank you to IronManFan who has been there the entire way. More important, though, is the fact that I can call him a friend.

    Used your site to figure out if a 1981 WTF I wanted to buy was legit or not, it was and got it for $70 image
