Kind of hard to tell what the bottom left corner is like ... if it is a worn corner that has been pressed down, I'd have to agree with LarryAllen on the "7". (Top right corner looks like there is a touch on it as well.)

because it costs more than cracking it out and is not as effective. I'm also not worried about the $20 I spent on the card if it doesnt come back in an 8 or better slab. The upside is pretty good if you ask me. Plus it looks as good as a lot of 9's I get if not better.
Its an 8 and will stay an 8. Cracking it was dumb but the centering and the color alone make it an 8. One bad corner makes it an 8 not a 6. With 50-50 centering . I just say that because i felt all of yall were way off on the grade. If you were to sell that raw what would you grade it? Ex-mt? I would buy from you all day. That is a great looking Earl. I love that set and that isnt an easy card to find without snow or way oc TB. Very nice 8!

If I were to sell it raw I would advertise it as NM/MT since that is what it was/is. I may just sub it until the paper falls off trying to get an 8.5, lol.
<< <i>Not the same card but it was graded this month. I wouldnt have thought it was a 6 but it did have great color and is well centered. PSA said 6.

that Rose isn't in the same ballpark as the Campbell. 3 of the corners on the Campbell are razor sharp and the bottom left is only touched. The edges are perfect, centering, focus, color, and back are all perfect. Im telling you, it looks like a 9 if that one corner wasn't touched. Not to mention it has no snow, roller marks, etc..
I agree with you I was talking about how that card is not a 5-7(Your Earl 1979 Topps Card) at all. Its an 8-8.5 easy . Look up at the post I said it was an 8

Agreed. The Rose is a 6 all day long. The Campbell does look great and a possible 9 without the bottom left corner. I think you will find the corner ding will knock it down to a 7 though. I have many 7's with a corner that look like that. In addition, they seem to grade higher profile cards like this harder.

It looks like a chunk of the face is missing in the lower left?

Some 6's (true ones anyway) not net graded ones are very nice looking cards.
Besides the touches on the corners the inking inside the football might bring it down to the 5 or 6 level as well.
Nice card nontheless.

I think it gets 8.5 2 out of 10 times, gets a 9 1 out of 20. If it gets an 8 or even less then I'm out $5 for grading.

Agreed,
With the lower left corner, I don't think it has a shot at a 8.5, but then again, I've seen stranger things.... good luck

Not very good odds if you ask me. Good luck paying and playing the resub game. Post the results when you get them.

And I am under the impression the review service costs the same.
