My Home Office......pics included

Guys - I wanted to add to the recent posts with home office pics. Let me know if anyone has any questions with what I did, or of you like something hopefully I can steer you in the right direction to locate it ! I've got :

(4) 10 Holder bat racks - all bats signed by HOF'ers
(2) Pennzoni 55 Card Graded Cases (holding my Post War HOF Baseball ROOKIE Set)
(1) Pennzoni 12 Card Holder with Miscellaneous Cards in it
(1) 50 Card Wall display holding all Auto Cards
(3) Wooden Shelves holding my Signed Dallas Cowboy Mini Helmets
(18) Small Wooden Frames on the wall, each holding AUTO cards of either all football or all basketball. They are matted in football/or basketball leather material matting
(1) Full piece of lucite 28x45 on top of my desk, with graded cards underneath it!

It has been so much fun putting it together, but I am scared that I am out of space - at least my wife says i am!

hanks,
Craig

Craig - nice office. looks great! I've been struggling with how to display my bats. I have them in bat tubes now and haven't seen the right wall display for bats in a tube. Do you get worried about bat exposed like that?

i am not too concerned. The lights aren't on more than an hour a day or so, and the windows are covered with cellular shades that block 99% of the UV...

how did you anchor the plexiglass? does it lie flat or does it wabble? is it functional? V ERY N ICE ROOM
  • The two things I would be concerned about:

    1. Exposure of the cards to light. I would have a drape or something you could put down over the top to limit light exposure all that you can, uv protected or not.

    2. Exposure to theft. Having the cards displayed as you have them just makes it so much easier should anyone ever have thoughts on adding your collection to their own collection without paying you for that privilege.

BUT....I must say it is very nicely done. Congrats!

the plexiglass is not anchored, just sits on top. Most of the slabs are PSA, so it is pretty flat and does not wabble.

As far as exposure to theft, I have it insured and we have a very complex alarm system. That being said if anyone wants anything bad enough, they can get it. hopefully anyone that has seen it is close enough to my family that they won't come take it!
