A ? for Ironmanfan

If you have a friend at ebay why dont you ask him or tell him about Burge? I would love to hear why he is allowed to continue to sell on ebay.

Also if you have a friend who can get listings removed why wouldnt you focus on the worst piece of garbage on there? If I had a friend there it would be my mission to get rid of these losers.

Best regards!

Unless ironmanfan wants to find himself in court...he would be wise not to play eBay cop.

who is Burge & what has he done? I don't have a "friend" at eBay; over time I have established a relationship with someone in their fraud department who trusts my knowledge...If this about the Albert Pujols or Derek Jeters autographs, I don't have sufficient knowledge personally on their respective signatures to make claims one way or another (particularly those in PSA/DNA slabs).

Maybe you should be working with your contacts in the autograph industry to help clean up all these fake autographs you are always telling us about!! Seems to me you should have some pretty good contacts with the companies that are slabbing these as authentic!!
I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!

If he cannot get the autos slabbed then he couldnt steal money as easily. Not trying to be an ass but to ask why Ironman cant try to get this guy removed from Ebay with his contacts is like asking you why you cant have these autographs stopped from being slabbed.

Not trying to take anything away from IMF but he has obviously established credibility in a specific area in the same way(s) that others have established credibility. What I have learned is that if you are willing to do the homework and establish yourself there will always be someone willing to listen. Not trying to be harsh or anything but you claim to have connections in the industry. Why not use your connections and knowledge to do something about it? There's way too much garbage in the hobby for a handful of people to clean up.

I'd be very wary about making charges about someone it could land you in a heap of trouble.

Remember NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED.

An alleged trimmer of low pop cards is about to create a firestorm against a few individuals that have

    slandered his name.

Is it really worth the aggravation? If you see an item on ebay that YOU feel is bogus, don't buy it.

    Steve
    Good for you.

  • It's pretty simple, if you are certain someone is committing fraud and have some degree of proof you can fill out an
    FBI Internet Fraud Report or

If you don't have proof or knowledge that would hold in a criminal court of law and you make accusations in a public forum, you instead open up yourself to be sued for slander.

Do the safe thing... report it to FBI or to Ebay Fraud and if you are an expert or have ability to verify the fraud report it to the FBI. Making statements without certain proof on a public forum may turn you into the one breaking the law.
