What kind of Mantle can I get for $100?

I am looking to get my 1st Mickey Mantle regular card and have $100 to get it.

What grade and year could I get?

I am not looking for a PSA 9,8,7,or 6 but a very reasonable Mantle.



Any advise on what I should expect to get would help.

    Not too long ago I picked up a 1967 Topps PSA 8 OC Mantle on ebay for $125. Flipped it for $200+, but they are out there. Keep looking and save a little bit at the same time, before you know it, you can pick up a nice card on the cheap. Keep in mind that many ungraded Mantles may be trimmed etc, better to stick with a PSA graded one if you ever want to get your money back in a an upgrade situation.

    Wow...that 1968 in PSA 5 looks pretty nice! Fairly well centered and nice overall eye appeal from the pics. Maybe the seller would take less than the BIN since it shows a best offer option. Good luck!

    With some patience, you can usually get a 1969 Mantle in PSA 5 for $90 to $100. This is his last, regular issued card. I'm not familiar with the pricing on the 1968 Mantles. Hope this helps.

    I'm learning this too. The Mantle's I put on Ebay get more watchers than most everything else.

    1962 Life Magazine with Mantle/Maris card insert intact (1962 Post Cereal)

    Cards are both OK with normal crease where inserted into Magazine (left side of Mantle card).

    Magazine is complete with normal surface wear to cover.
    (Note, card in not stapled in, it can be removed by sliding out from between pages)
