Bobby Orr Rookie Is It Real?

I bought this card in a collection today and I'm a little skeptical about it. It was a thrown in with the rest of the stuff I bought so I'm not overly concerned. Any comments would be a help. Thanks Mike

If it's not a fake or reprint I think it would be a topps usa test, because it has english and french both on the back. Good card if it's a real one!

    Hi Tony.
The Orr is a counterfeit/reprint. All the counterfeits that have the little white circle or bubble over the second letter E in Defense
are known fakes. Also, the back to the left of the #35 is very white. Looks like they just tried to dirty it up.
Since it was a throw in, it's just a cool piece to put over your desk or whatever.

So you can send it to PCA with the fake Gretzkys?

Unless someone is absolutely positive that an Orr rookie is fake, they sure as heck are not going to include it as a 'throw in' in any deal. So the guy you got it from knew it wasn't real.

The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

no, like I said, for my personal collection. I don't have an Orr Test rookie, and it would be an OK filler for my raw sets.

  • cool - pre-worn rookie cards ... just like pre-washed jeans.

    fits like a glove.

tack it to the wall for authenticity.
  • This is not the test issue or a test issue reprint. The test issue is only in english and has a white border to the right side on the front. The regular issue has both english and french.
