A misslabeled PSA flip just made my day

I have been looking to buy a 1989 Bowman Tiffany Ken Griffey Jr PSA 9 rookie for a while now.

I have followed a few but then always ended higher than I would snipe. Well just by chance I searched to see what a 1989 Fleer Glossy would sell for and found a 1989 Bowman Glossy PSA 9. I watched it and then was able to win it for the opening bid of 49.95.

It arrived today and it is a beauty. Someday I may send it in to have the flip fixed but for now I am just going to enjoy.

I'm not familiar with baseball cards, can someone tell me what the error on the PSA flip is?

    Nice pickup Matt .

Awhile back , bought a 1974 mislabeled SD/ Washington PSA9 card. The guy had no photo and I was interested in a plain SD card. I won the auction for like $23 . It arrived and was labeled SD when it was actually a scarcer Washinton card inside.

You played well. I wish I had a few more innings left at the end so I could have tried to make a run at it.

    Maybe next year.

It should read 1989 Bowman Tiffany not 1989 Bowman Glossy

Clearly the right thing to do is list it on ebay as a 1/1 rare glossy non-Tiffany version for $1500 obo.
  • No the right thing to do would be to send it back to the original seller and tell him it was a Tiffany card that is worth a lot more.

He did know the value of it even if it was labelled wrong as he had a sticker (from a store i'm guessing) on the back of it with a price of $160.00

I'm not at all surprised...yet your sarcastic replies as of late indicate otherwise.
