Microsoft Office 2007 -- A little help? ? please!!!!

Hey guys,

I really haven't asked for help with anything here, but am hoping someone will find it in their heart to help me out here.

I recently shelled out my bux for a laptop and currently attend grad school.

The Microsolft Office 2007 was a trial and expired. I now have a lot of files that are on my laptop that I need for school but it needs this "product key" to unlock for use.

Maybe someone can "help" me out (if you know what I mean), with the product key ?????

Please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PM me if you could !!!

thanks

rich

The product key comes on the inside label with word 2007. its 25 characters.

it seems to me you need to get the product key by purchasing word 2007

you should be able to download a mircosoft word veiwer for free. won't be able to edit anything, but at least you can view what you have and print

Sorry, I personally don't own 2007. My employer does and not at liberty to toss you the key number....Wish I could Because I belive the key number is good for a PC and laptop, and we only use PC's

I wouldn't ask for a product key like that in such a public forum... the fine from MS can be pretty hefty. Plus with Office 2007 it requires an activation for the key, so chances are if you got one, it probably wouldn't let you activate it anyhow.
  • There are several competent alternatives that will allow you to produce microsoft office compatible documents.

    Amongst the more popular ones:
Google Docs (web based, w. offline support)
Zoho (web based, w. offline support)
    OpenOffice (desktop based)

google for the key. I did back in the day to download a key for Photoshop.

And when you use this key from wherever you get it, you'll get flagged by Office every time you open it that your copy isn't genuine....

now a days that's a good way to get a nasty virus! I know it's not going to help but I recommend Open Office or Google Docs. Both free and work just like Office!

I think others are correct even if you got a code there is a slim chance it would work with your install.

You can get a copy of Office 2007 school addition that will work and is at a discount rate. I know there is still a cost involved but at least you don’t have to pay full price since you are using it for school.

I think you can probably still buy Microsoft Office in stores. Or download Open Office for free. I've used it for years and it works fine.

I don't understand why people think stealing is fine as long as they think can get away with it.

Being a former employee of MSFT, I'd be willing to get you a copy of Word 2007 if you're interested. I think it would cost you in the $60-70 range vs. the $400-$500 range you'd pay at retail. It's a fully legal version basically priced at/below the not-for-profit price, but it's one of the nice benefits of current and former MSFT employment affords. The downside is I get to hear all the wise cracks about blue screens and paper clips. image

Just let me know if you're interested. I have a soft spot for grad school students, having been there myself not so long ago.

Edited to add: $60-70 is the actual cost. Just wanted to make sure you didn't think I was trying to mark it up on you. image
