Anyone ever have this problem with paypal

I bought a card for $300 even and sent to Ebay with minimum grade of 8, card came back stating grade of 7, which has sold for roughly $250 - $300 (an 8 would go for about $700).I recently sold the card raw on ebay for over $400. I sent the card and buyer immediatley emails back stating card is 100% counterfeit. I absolutley know that PSA makes mistakes and card could very well be a counterfeit. Here is my dilemma: buyer sends back card that does not appear to be the same card I sent. How do either I or buyer prove to paypal that this was or was not the card that was sold and shipped by me?
Any past experiences would be very helpful

Post some scans to help confirm your view.
Switcheroos can be fought and won at PayPal,
but you have to prove your case and, often, use
the appeals process.
?? Do you mean you sent it to PSA? If so I assume it was graded and slabbed?
And if it was graded and slabbed for a buyer to pull a switcheroo the slab had to be opened.
If all the above is true that is how you can prove he is a scammer.

Edited: I see where you said you sold it raw. Sorry, I mis read your statement.
If this is correct, does the auction still show your original picture of the card?
Like Storm said, you'll most likely have to use the Appeal Process to win.
Have you checked the buyer's past feedbacks from others to see if he's pulled this crap before? Toolhaus - Check Feedback here!
I've had to go through the appeal process once and luckily it was painless and quick (for me). The other guy is now Naru.
Good luck,

I thing lightning boy is saying he cracked it back out and sold raw...
Was the card graded by PSA and granted a PSA 7?
I'm a tad confused ... but not enough to commit sideways or anything
PoppaJ
But then again who knows?

<< <i>Why did the OP send the card with a "minimum grade" expectancy? Isn't that column only for crossovers?

you can always state the min grade you want if it doesnt get it saves you the time of cracking it, ex. many people want min 8 for pc or would rather have the card raw, I've seen Min 10 submissions from big dealers as anything less isn't worth a 9 on a lot of modern stuff then they sell what doesn't hit a 10 raw and also saves the hassle of cracking cases... some specials forbid it though.

I, too, am confused. I mean, more so than normal.

I fully understand what "minimum grade" is and why someone would use it. My question is about the card the OP submitted to PSA. 1st of all, was it already in a slab? ... or was it raw? I figured it was raw, therefore the OP couldn't ask for a "minimum grade" since minimum grades are for crossovers only (that's what my sub forms say).
Are you saying that it's possible to ask for a minimum grade on a raw card? If so, I wasn't aware this was possible.
thanks,
PoppaJ
<< <i>I wasn't aware Ebay graded cards >>
That's where he lost me to.How much is a 1968 Topps Nolan Ryan in a EBAY 9.5?Does anyone have the VCP for this grade?
Edited to add my interpretation of the events:
1) OP buys a card raw for $300
2) OP sends card to Ebay for grading
3) Ebay returns card, indicating they do not grade cards
4) OP sends it to PSA, believing he can request minimum grade, and card comes back a 7, not 8 as "requested"
5) OP cracks the 7 slab and lists it on Ebay raw, likely claiming it is 8 quality
6) Raw card sells for $400
7) The buyer, realizing the raw card is not 8 quality as implied, returns it claiming counterfeit
8) Op blames PSA for not catching the counterfeit
9) OP claims that even though the buyer thought the card counterfeit, he may have pulled the bait-and-switch, kept the fake and returned a real card
10) OP seeks advice with confusing post

I once invested in a team competing in the X-Prize contest. Paul Allen spent over $100 million to win the $20 million dollar prize, but I ended up with one of the space rockets from our project. A month later it arrives at the dock and I learned a valuable lesson. Space rockets (even ones that blew up), do not fit through doorways.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

My dilemma is that you don't seem very sure if it's the same card or not. This seems really odd to me, how about a link to the auction?
<< <i>The original Ebay scan is gone. >>
I see the scans in my listings from over two months ago, when did this happen?

Your first post sounds like a hypothetical question IMO. It seems like you want key information for a situation that hasn't yet arrived.

That is what I thought..................

It is indeed possible as I have done that on a number of occasions, sent it in raw with minimum grade and gotten the card back in CS1 stating simply minimum grade...
I assume it was because it didn't meet minimum grade... not that they don't do minimum grades for raw cards....

For God's sake, protect that PostIt. It's a key piece of evidence.

What highly counterfeited cards go for 7 beans in an 8?
