Let's start a short list of (HONEST & KNOWLEDGEABLE) ebay sellers of raw vintage packs.

Ok vintage pack enthusiasts what do you say we put our heads together and put together a short list of those vintage pack sellers on ebay who we know are (HONEST) and possess the (EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE) to determine whether a wax, cello, or rack has been tampared with or not.

Lord knows myself and others have spent alot of time on these boards bashing the "bad" pack sellers so why not give some time to reference the "good" guys out there who make this great hobby what it is.

More importantly let's do this for the many novice, semi-experienced, uniformed & uneducated ebay pack collectors who are routinely getting burned with bogus packs and could use some help, confidence & guidance when buying raw packs on ebay. I know that when I first joined ebay years ago I felt like a fish out of water and was burned several times by unscrupulous sellers.

Let's not use this thread to promote your own name and sells. Just be genuine and sincere and throw down any ebay user ID's of people you have personally dealt with and you feel confident that they are honest and possess the experience and expertise to (know) that the raw packs they are selling are untampered with.

We all know that The Baseball Card Exchange is a given so I will initiate the list by adding five ebay user ID's that I have repeatedly dealt with during my years of collecting vintage packs on ebay. Five ebay sellers who I (know) are honest and possess the experience & expertise to make an educated determination as to whether a pack has been tampered with.

***Feel free to repeat any names that I or others add so that fellow ebayers & board members can feel even more confident about them. In fact if you would like to add a little accounting of how a particular seller "went way beyond the call of duty" then please do so. ***

I have had positive dealings with tklein4131
  • BobS, tklein4131 is outstanding addition to the list. I too have dealt with tklein4131 on several occassions and he is a most deserving addition to the list.

I once made a $400 private purchase from him and he actually emailed me an unsolicited picture of the usps shipping receipt--not to mention the vintage raw packs were pristine and untampared with. An exceptionally honest and very experienced dealer in vintage unopened product.

ebay i.d. clydecoolidge - Lots of vintage stars and HOFers, raw, condition fully disclosed.
  • Wouldn't Larry Fritsch be a good addition? I haven't purchased anything yet but, with his years in the business, one would think it to all be untampered.
  • Not sure if he sells packs/boxes on eBay, but our own Rogermnj is on the same level as BBCE in my book. Ebay name is rojiksomethingorother.
