Fake cards destroyed

Long story short. I had another thread. Appears to have been poofed as I cannot find it. myuser3007 was selling these. outed and sent them to me to destroy. His 'out' was it was research for a Tuff Stuff article. Lie. Anyways......Had fun at work. Grabbed the paper cutter. Desk next to mine, he knows I collect. Saw me open the package and saw the cards. Told him these were not mint. I only collect mint and proceeded to cut them. He was like 'That was a Pujols auto!..." I lol, and told him the truth.

In my mind this thread wipes away 5 posts of people linking fake stuff on Ebay, Thank You!

I don't get it though, someone was outed so he sent you the creations to destroy?
  • I think he was afraid and wanted them to be 'gone'. He was cornered. Or he was thinking by sending them it would show more integrity ? Dont really know. Had he destroyed them, some might still doubt he did, maybe accuse him of using photoshop etc.

  • I removed thread links to the 2 other sites as I just was re-reading and saw a possible language issue. Possible reason I cannot find my other thread here. If wanted, PM.

Just realized. The fake Ichiro he send me, was different than the one he had in his bucket. So he has more.

I'm working on getting his 'real' ebay id.

  • He listed fake auto/GU on ebay (all cards pictured on this thread)
He listed fake GU on FCB (one of the cards pictured)

I communicated to him thru ebay. Gave me a story and I called bologna.

Saw a thread on Topps about a Pujols patch that was previously owned by a Topps member somehow now had a auto and linked this scam on YouTube to be his doing.

Spread the word and him being a member/lurker of FCB, came fwd on Topps giving his 'Tuff Stuff research' story. He started erasing all his pics in his bucket, took down video, close scam ebay acct etc.

I called bologna again. I mentioned consequences and he then sent the 9 cards that were on ebay to me to destroy. To get me to "lower my guns". In the meantime, it appears he took a member for $250 and another for a trade with a lesser value.

One of the cards he sent was different than a pic of one he had in his bucket. So he has more fakes (not that their hard to make, but shows he's not done) and has recently logged in to read the FCB thread but no word from him. Lurking to see what we know, I assume. Scammer outed and slowed down but most likely will return under a new alias once he realizes he "got away". Like most of them do.

You shouldn't have lowered your guns. You should have "deleted" this fool.

I understand most of the fakes but why would someone create the fake Nomo card? Is it really worth the trouble?
  • Nomo used to be a big seller. Unsure about now. The tag is a laundy tag. Those are desirable. One of his on ebay now $40+ But that one is a RC tag from my glance at the auction.
