How many are putting together 2009 Topps and/or UD BB or FB sets?

Curious as to how many members are putting together 2009 Topps or UD sets in baseball, football or both.

Try as I might, I get too frustrated when I try to put together sets!image

Much respect to those who can!

  • This is the first year I have not tried putting Topps football together. I tend to have a pretty good game plan on these sets. Buy a bunch of boxes from about the time football starts to Christmas, sell a couple cards and get $4-5 back from $200, then buy a factory set from Walmart. Works well every time.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

I put Topps sets together every year baseball is my thing.
I did put football sets up some years but not all years and I didn't even bother this year.
  • I put together both the TOpps baseball and football sets.I have also unintentionally built a few Upper Deck football sets while trying to pull a cut.I failed with that venture.

I do baseball every year. Topps only. No inserts, just the Basic set, and the Updates/Highlights set.

    Haven't missed a year since 1957!
  • I but both Baseball and football every year. Baseball I usually buy 2 Jumbos and get a set, and sell the inserts to pay for the set. Do the same for Football, but football inserts tend not to sell as well.

Also I make sure I get the inserts out before price guides, so sometimes I get some incredible prices...

I've got a couple 09-10 Topps Basketball Gold Sets that I've thrown together. Opened a couple jumbo boxes, and bought some high quantity lots on ebay pretty cheaply.

I imagine a have a set or two of the regular sets too, just haven't had time to sort.

I get them both as factory sets from Target...
    Enjoy your collection!
