First post with autograph question...

Hi All..
My name is Tyler and I just joined this forum. I was directed here by a friend who thought it would be a good place to ask a question I had...
I am currently trying to sell all of my collectables.. From toys to comics, to my sports memorabilia...
I was wondering if anyone could help on the values of a few items I have... Or point me in the right direction on where to go and ask..
Thank you,
Tyler

I see lots of Bay Area names there. Good stuff!
How were these auto's aquired?
WTB: 2001 Leaf Rookies & Stars Longevity: Ryan Jensen #/25
The autos were from a lot of different sources.. Some I got in person, The Giants team balls were a gift from my uncles friend who worked for them, and some were bought from trusted dealers back in the day (15-20 years ago)
Im always afraid of ebay values as I hear people dont really bid ebay autos much, since so many are fake...
as with anything, provenance is very important. Sometimes, especially in the early 1990s, "trusted dealers" were unwillingly passing off forged items. Specifically out west. Anyway, a good idea would to be to check closed ebay auctions. Keep in mind that without any reputable COAs (PSA/DNA or JSA) you could expect to get a bit less than anything with one.
Good luck!
edited to add: Specifically with the Mantle, I would be very weary about if it is legit or not. Post a picture of some items here and I'm sure the forum regulars could help you out.
<< <i>are the team balls genuine hand signed or the facsimile/printed signature ones? >>
Yes, they are genuine hand signed. My uncles good friend worked with the Giants managing their locker room.. He himself was a former ball player (Sam Chapman)
He got me the team balls!
Ill post some pics tonight!
For the rest, all the balls except Nolan were gotten either in person autograph, or given to my by my uncle, who was friends with Sam Chapman, as well as lefty gomez and rank crosetti.
The 8 X 10s were also all gotten in person except for the ones above.
The hats also were in person

The Gretzky I also think is bad but it's not nearly as bad as the other two. I got him in person several times over his career and his signature did change but that one has some inconsistencies that if you were to submit for authentication to PSA or JSA it probably won't pass.
Sorry for the bad news, but you did ask for opinions.
<< <i>“In Memory Of” Card from Lefty Gomez’ funeral >>
I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that if this is signed by Lefty then it's probably a fake.
Welcome by the way! Sorry to say that I agree with the other on the Mantle and Mays.
My small collection
Want List:
'61 Topps Roy Campanella in PSA 5-7
Cardinal T206 cards
Adam Wainwright GU Jersey
I don't know enough about Gretzky to opine on that one.

<< <i>this small sample i've seen here makes me wonder about the authenticity of the rest of the autographs in this collection (hopefully at least Vida Blue is legit) >>
These 3 8X10s are the only ones I have gotten from dealers.. The rest I got in person.
Most of the cards also I got in person...
Oh, and the Lefty Gomez card is definately not autographed.. haha
Would anyone like to see photos of any of the others?

Yes, continue to post the pictures. The information you will get on these boards is great and will help you assess the rest of your collection.

And this one.
Story about the one on the card is HERE.
signed through the mail in the early '90s
So maybe autopen signature? To my eyes they are exactly alike.

I'd like to see the team signed balls
Tonight Ill overlay them in photoshop.. They look to be the exact same
I dont know if its the pen they used, but the whole 86 ball is faded, a few on the 88 ball have faded, but the 90 ball is totally unfaded...
