Interesting coin

i call this a die flow coin ,not sure of the official term for this, but this coin has die flow on both sides which makes the details a bit soft, i find this a interesting coin

I love flow lines, but I see them on very sharply struck gem examples, so I suspect something else (such as possibly being struck through oil) caused the soft details, though I concede I am not an expert.

well whatever caused them made the coin look like it was weakly struck but it's a very interesting coin cause of the die flow

It's actually from using worn out dies. The more a die is used the more weak and distored it becomes. They tend to be quite common among copper-nickel coins; probably because of the hardness of nickel. I like them too, especially when they're extreme examples.

thanks for the clarification, I always thought eroded die, not die flow.....
I guess it's glass half empty-- half full terminology
