Need help to ID old NYYankees in scrapbook photos

My wife's late aunt who passed away in Ft. Collins, CO, a couple years ago left us some photos of some of her favorite MLB team. Unfortunately they are of the NY Yankees (
). I was wondering if some of you Yankee fans could help me determine not only the players in the photos, but also where and when the pics were taken.
I'm going to post each of the seven photos in separate posts, so if you know who the player is you can hit the "quote" button and the picture will appear with your answer. I'm pretty sure I know who 3 of the players are (one is most obvious with the uni number), but I don't want to prejudice you experts out there!
Thanks for any help you can provide...

Ah ha! I just asked my wife if she knew where the pictures were taken and she said it was when they visited Chicago! The Yankees happened to be in town so they caught the game. My wife's other uncle was a White Sox fan. Is this Comiskey Park??
My wife said she told me all this earlier and I wasn't listening to her again, so I'm in trouble -- again.

1, 2 and 7 are the three I thought I knew -- and the names match to my guesses. Thanks for your help!!!
Any idea when the photos may have been taken?? Having the names I can cross-check rosters and maybe determine which year's team this was.

I'll second that as that was really my first choice.

Awesome! I didn't notice the mitt. I thought for sure the ears belonged to Berra though! Thanks, Steve!
NP Mike glad I could help.

<< <i>I guess these were taken sometime during 1953. >>
Steve, what did you base the year on? The make-up of the roster that year?? I haven't done my homework on that yet.
I'm still curious if anyone knows if these were taken at Comiskey park in Chicago?? There are a few clues in the foreground and background settings.
<< <i>lol Steve I was gonna say that but figured who would know who Irv Noren is?
I'll second that as that was really my first choice.

Actually, I'm now thinking you were right with your earlier post about #6 being Gene Woodling. Looking at the picture, the player's arm looks more like Woodling's, than it does Noren's. Also, according to baseball-reference.com, Noren batted and threw lefty, while Woodling also batted lefty, but threw righty. Given that fact, I think it's more likely that Woodling wrote with his right hand (as the pictured player is doing), than did Noren.

Photos That Were Used On Baseball Cards
<< <i>Could it be possible that they were taken in St Louis because in the photos of Rizzuto and McDougald, the boys on the left look like they have programs with the "Brownie" logo
You a CSI??! WoW. If that is true as to where the photos were taken, we're going to have to clarify where the trip was taken to watch a ballgame!
thanks for the tip!
Went through some of my old yankee photo's and those popeye arms match some i have of Vic Rashi. Irv was too skinny to fit those arms..

I appreciate the help!
Cheers!
