somebody got whacked in the nuts there. I hope he was going to keep all those McGwire RCs for himself as I doubt he makes a profit.

"Dude, I got all these killer McGwire, Clemen's and Pucket rookies on the CHEAP... the auction said they are all MINT... I am not sure why nobody else bid but I am guessing it was a mis-spelling in the title but whatever it was I got a sweet deal! I am going to submit them all to PSA and make a ton of money selling all of the 10's I get... cuz they are all mint! Whooooo hoooooooooo...."

The inevitable shrinkage due to steroid abuse, Puckett excluded.

I have said it before, 85 Topps is TUFF in high grade. Poor paper stock, massive O/C, wrinkles, fish eyes, bubbles, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria!!!!!!!

A lessons learned for sure. People really need to understand PSA standards and the market before
submitting a sub of that quantity.

Money in the bank for PSA.

  • This really isn't too bad... I have seen Mcgwire's on ebay sell for more than 5 bucks raw I personally wouldn't pay more than two dollars for a raw Mcgwire same thing for the clemens. Average price for a Clemens psa 9 is $14.77. Average price for a Mcgwire psa 9 is around $24-$27 If he is lucky and I mean lucky he can make his money back from having them graded. He should have used Bccg then he could have doubled his money to the sheep out in the ebay world with less than ten feedback score all Cards Bccg 9 Bccg 10 . with a $185 dollars investment... Reaction....I hit a jackpot yay!!!

I'm sure the submitter is cursing PSA and saying that all of the cards were GEM MINT straight from vending... Seems to be the case around here a bit too often as well! Pack fresh, vending fresh, factory sets DO NOT equal GEM MINT...

I have a really krappy set , my 1984 Topps Graveyard set . It contain a Tony Gwynn PSA 4 card. Its a terible looking card.

This guy has a fine sub here containing numerous 6's and I believe a 4.

  • Here is a link to three roger clemens in psa 7 holders final price $31 could be a shill bidder but here lately I have had low feedback buyers pay a little more than True market value.
My theory is that maybe it is because of Brick and mortar stores continue to dwindle down due to the recession?? Who knows.. Clemens psa 7 Rookies
