Doug Harvey autographs

Thought I would try and seek out some advice. I have 5 Doug Harvey autographed pictures. If I want to sell a few is it worthwhile to have them authenticated. I know they are legit as I watched him sign them in our basement (he was a friend of our family).

Thanks.

while Doug Harvey is one of the more famous umpires, there is little overall demand for his signature (therefore, few if any forgeries).....Would be no need to get them authenticated IMO

  • Sorry, I should have clarified. The Doug Harvey is the defenceman who played with the Montreal Canadian in their glory years of the 50's. He is considered to be one of (excluding Bobby Orr) the greatest defencemen of all time.

  • I don't think they would be worth anymore authenticated. Doug's autos weren't going for very much last time I checked.

Last time I checked was about a year and a half ago when I sent 12 auto redemtions for Reggie Leach. I never got any Leaches back but I got 7 Harveys so I wasn't to put out.
