What are some good junk 90's basketball boxes with decent inserts?

Haven't busted a whole box of basbketball since about 1988. What are some good junk 1990's boxes that have a nice assortment of decent valued inserts or rookies?

Feel free to browse BBCE's inventory for suggestions. That's where I will be buying them from.

Not sure if Stadium Club Beam Team inserts still sell well. If you can pull parallel refractor rookies from like 94/95/96 finest, those sell well I think. The Kobe can go for a bunch. Either way, trade me your gradable David Robinson pulls. I keep meaning to start that registry.

97-98 Metal Universe and Champinship for the Planet Metal Red and Greens
97-98 and 98-99 Skybox Premium For Rubies
Z-Froce has Raves and some other long shot inserts like Big Men on Court Zpeat and such
  • On the BBCE Site, Im looking at the 97/98 Finest Series 1 boxes or the 97/98 Topps boxes. According to guide, the appears to be alot of inserts in the Topps boxes. Never busted any myself, so I would be curious to if anyone else has pulled good inserts out of these.

The 92's with Jordan and Shaquille still sell very well. A PSA 10 Shaquille Beam Team is $250ish card.

Try 1994 Fleer or 1994 Ultra. You get one insert in every pack and they made some awesome looking inserts those years.

Most any of the early 90's Ultra or Fleer had nice inserts, some pretty nice in $$$ value as well.
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
  • When I was opening packs back in the early-mid 90's, there was so much excitement pulling rookies or inserts of players like Jason Kidd, Grant Hill, Penny Hardaway, Jerry Stackhouse, Glenn Robinson, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan and many others that turned out to be duds(Eric Montross, Bryant Reeves, etc). In 2009, for most, finding any of these wouldn't mean a whole lot. image

Looking through the BBCE site, I think the '92-93 UD High Series @ $25/box would be worth a gamble. It's got the SP Shaq rookie (his best) which goes for over $200 in a 10, the Rookie Standouts insert set where you can get another Shaq, and a shot at a Jordan Hologram insert that was pretty easy to pull a 9 or 10 on.
