I would like any t206 card...

I'm not much of a baseball fan, but instead a fan of American history and I appreciate the sport, especially during the the dead-ball era...I have been thinking about buying one t206 card, but when I see them on eBay they usually are really high to begin with, or start low and end real high. To me it does not matter who the player is or the condition, all I would like is a t206 (psa graded) piedmont back...so, where is a good place to find one like this and what is about expected to pay for one as I have described?

thanks in advance!

Patrick

You can get a common PSA 1 for $10-12 if you shop around. I've gotten PSA 1 HOFers (in the new slab where 1 means only Poor) for less than $30.

  • I bought about 10 different commons about a year ago that were all PSA 3's or 4's. Don't think I paid more than $60 for any of them.
  • That's funny - I was just in one of the few card shops left in Richmond and looked at the 2 T206's that the lady has. Both are PSA 3's and are $65 each. One is Ed Lenox and the other is Jack White of Buffalo. So if you're anywhere near Richmond, come on down...

Lower grade examples (collector grade) can be had all the time for under $20, sometimes as low as $8 ea. in bulk ie. 10 for $80.

I have bough lots of 10-20 for under $200 many times. They are the most common of all PreWar baseball cards.....by far!

  • well there are a ton to choos from.

hey, sorry, I've been away from the computer for a while - been busy - I have not picked up a t206 yet, but was looking on eBay this morning for some...I see that there are a few in the 30.00 dollar range - I'm in no hurry and will wait for a few auctions of mine to end and use the funds for one. I'll post a pic when I find one.

    Steve -

yeah, the problem for me collecting the older hockey cards though is that they are like candy...one day, when i'm out of school, I'll begin one of those vintage sets.
