(Sigh.) It's the end of the month and Burgundy needs to submit some more cards.

I need to get a submission ready before Monday. I've got some good cards to submit, and some re-submits from the last submission.

WHO'S GONNA BE WORKING ON A SUB THIS WEEKEND? WHO'S WITH ME HERE? image

I got my 25 minimum going in Monday- and just had 50 log Tuesday as well from the August special...not very patient I guess.

I got a bunch of high grade 69 basketball - hoping to find time this weekend to go through them. Lots of 7s and 8s, I think. They take tallboys on the special too, right?

    yup. separate order.
  • I need to go through the stuff I haven't looked at the last 12 years and see if any of it is worth sending in. Maybe I can piggypack with someone next time they offer a submission special! image

    A little OT but
BTW, against my better judgment awhile back, I picked up several "high grade" 71 baseball from Waverly82.
    Results today:
N3: EVIDENCE OF RECOLORATION 1971 TOPPS 687 RON TAYLOR Card US
N3: EVIDENCE OF RECOLORATION 1971 TOPPS 113 JERRY CRIDER Card US
I'm sure he had no idea

  • My last 35 card sub was mailed about 1/2 hour ago. I think I have subbed more cards under the 4.50 specials they have run this year than I have in the past 2 years. Will be sad to see it go. image Hopefully, they will bring it back at some point in the future.

I've got about 40 cards set aside right now to go in, but I'm working my way through a very clean cut card case of 1982 Topps Baseball (sheet D) and hope to find some gems in there, specifically a gem Yount! image

I just sent off my order of over 100 items this morning. It was the biggest one I have ever sent in. I actually renewed my PSA membership to take advantage of the $4.50 per card price since I have never seen it that low. Fingers crossed that the grading gods give me tons of high grades. image

Bad thing is that I will probably end up waiting a year and a half for my cards since I got in at the last moment on the special. Regardless, I am going to try my darndest to resist temptation to look at the grades on line when they pop. Instead, I plan on seeing the grades for the first time as I go through the cards. Pray that I can keep my resolve!

Just had a sub log yesterday. Glad it beat the last minute rush, now I just need to hope it doesn't get lost in the month-end shuffle.

Yep, got a sub myself I hope to finalize tonight and mail out tomorrow.

Got a 10x Loupe the other day, so I already pulled out about 20% from my original stack... gonna do some finer inspecting of other cards tonight to make it a worthwhile sub!

Cheers & Good Luck Ya'll image

I have sent in 2 non-sport sets already this month and will most likely get a group of cards ready to ship on Monday. Won't be as many as I would like to send in but am hoping to shoot of 45 or 60.

Good luck to the rest of you.
Looking for a Glen Rice Inkredible and Alex Rodriguez cards

I'm working on mine-100 cards or so, mostly from 66 and 71. I have some really nice 68s, 69s, and 72s, but it's just not worth the money and time to have them graded.
  • gemintgemint Posts: 6,178 ✭✭✭✭✭
I've got a few hundred cards I'm preparing. I'll probably crack some 1971 7's as well and resubmit them. I got hammered on them in the same submission I originally sent the Raymond in with. Since the Raymond bumped on review, I'm feeling more compelled to regrade some of those 7s that had me scratching my head at the time. I think I'll pull some 8s on them.

Mine will be going out on Monday, about 75 cards or so. I'm also sending my 6 "free" ones from when I renewed my membership - maybe that will speed up the process of getting the cards subbed under the special logged faster, and graded faster. It's only wishful thinking, but it can't hurt.

  • don't feel bad. I have to wait almost 9 more months to submit.

mailed off a 90 card submission this afternoon, nothing earthshattering, just some 87/88 and 88/89 Fleer basketball, 75 Topps, 74 topps and a few 61 Fleer. The 75's are from a set I started picking apart years ago, the stars are all gone and this was what was left.

alnavman - you have any extra 88 fleer? I want to put together a raw set or two and am missing less than 10 cards or so. May be interested in any 87 nmmt fleer too for a raw set.
